ITALIAN GRIMALDI'S HARPSICHORD

Free replica from Carlo Grimaldi

It’s a famous harpsichord of Carlo Grimaldi, from Messina, built at the end of 1600. The sounding section has been kept but the bass eztension reackes high e’’’ (the original ends with c’’’) and it is transposable to the 440 Hz pitch. This version is slightly shorter than the original (cm 212 instead of 250).

Very efficient lows, sweet and harmonious midrange and highs, with a very delicate effect on the main lead and aggressive with the two 8’.
