ITALIAN HARPSICHORD MOD. G. DE PERTICIS

It’s the copy of a handsome instrument built in 1681 by Giovanni De Perticis in Florence.

The original one has a lower pitch, around 390/400 Hz. In this version it has been raised to 440 Hz, to have it more versatile along with modern instruments.

Sides and boards are cypress. Rich, sweet and “cantabile” the first register, strong and deterninated the second, bright and aggressive with both on.

Very suitable as soloist for the Italian music of ‘5-600, perfect for continous.

Thanks to its small dimensions it is very easy to be carried.
